Whether you’re in your game highlights, your favorite highlights, or highlighting directly in Gold Digger, you can chat about any of your video clips. To start, click on the clip you want to analyze. You will see the option to run analytics. Note that you must run the analytics before you can start the chat.
Click the “Run Analytics” button, and it will take several seconds to a minute to process the analytics and return initial feedback on the clip. Depending on what the system can analyze from the video, you might get a varying number of analytic results. You can refresh the screen to update the results. For example, you might get two, three, or four different analyses based on what the system detects.
When you click on one of the analytic results, it may provide IDs of players. These are not the player numbers but rather how the system identifies the players. The IDs might change if the view changes or if two players run exactly on top of each other and their numbers get crossed. You can review the description of the technical analysis, which includes team identification and player tracks. For instance, if the analysis mentions “loses possession in the midfield number 353,” it refers to the player tracks shown in the video.
The system provides technical analysis of the play as well as coaching points, suggesting areas for improvement. If you are the owner of the video, meaning you have taken the highlight of your team, you’ll see a chat button after the analysis is completed.
Click on the “Chat” button to open a slide-out window where any previous conversations related to the video will be listed. You can ask questions and get technical analysis. For example, if the away team made a bad pass leading to a goal by the home team, you could ask, “How did the defense anticipate the pass on this clip and how could the offense have done a better job passing?”
The system will provide a reply with technical analysis. For instance, it might mention the body shape of the passer before the pass, the passer’s body position, or how defenders might have noticed the passer opening their hips. The analysis offers several suggestions such as communication, timing of the run, and disguising the pass, giving you valuable tips based on the clip.
